FF spinning extruders push wet mass through radial screens at low shear — 60 to 1,200 kg/h of extrudate sized for spheronizers, gentle enough for sugar-heavy and thermo-labile masses.
Highlights
Spinning (radial) principle extrudes at low mechanical load — sugar-heavy and thermo-labile masses stay stable.
Screw-fed ring presses extrude through radial screens at 60 to 1,200 kg/h.
Extrudate strand length matches GY spheronizer charge for round pellets.
Applications
- High drug-loading pellets
- Herbal extract granulation
- Continuous pellet lines

FAQ
What is low-shear extrusion and when is it needed?
Low-shear extrusion presses wet mass through screens with blades instead of compacting screws — limiting temperature rise. Choose it for heat-sensitive actives, high-sugar herbal extracts and low-melting-point formulations.
Which FF model fits 300 kg/h pellet production?
FF-140 (≤300 kg/h) is the nominal pick; FF-220 adds margin for denser or stickier masses. Screen diameter (140 vs 220 mm) also affects residence and cleaning.
What mesh openings are available?
From φ0.3 mm upward with >20% open area for smooth extrusion; screen sets are changed quickly for different pellet sizes.
